Hello Guillaume....WWII Willys MBT Bantam T3 Jeep Trailer List and Owner Pictures. The Willys MBT and Bantam T3 Trailer serial numbers are usually difficult to locate. MBT's and BT-3's had trailer (vehicle) Serial Numbers stamped in 2 places. Locating Serial Numbers on Second World War Willys MBT and Bantam T-3 Trailers THE DATA PLATES ON THE FRONT BODY PANEL. The trailer shown is a 1943 Bantam T3, Serial Number 36501, and Dated November, 15th, 1943 (15-11.43).
Your trailer does seem to be a Bantam...with the ACM number of '116858' it would be too late to have been A Willys and too early to have been one of the other mfgers I believe. The USA on the rear is not original to that trailer and would be from an August 1943 Bantam with an ACM number around 57,000.

I was thinking the same thing, however, the few WWII Bantam trailers I have in the database have 7 digit registration numbers, the '1952' Bantam trailers have 8 digits. Thinking that they may be Dunbar trailers, I checked the serial number and the Bantam trailers have 5 digits serial numbers and the Dunbar trailers have 6 digits serial numbers.
I do not have many trailers with an ACM near yours that have a data plate so this estimate is close.Bantam

I would also suggest you carefully check the drawbars and the lip the hand brake is bolted to for some stamped in numbers. They might be from the French Army, but they might be the original serial number or the USA number!Bantam Trailer Parts For Sale
